A Living Grief
Lord Jesus be
merciful to me, And to those whose hearts are
now, Quietly bearing a living
grief, Bowing heads to pray and
vow.
There are many of us
staring death, In the face of
disbelief, Life's becoming unbearable
as, Loves weaken seeking
relief.
Existence seems
faint, impossible, To bear,
intolerable, Oh it's fearful and always
tearful, In truth,
unfathomable.
There is no
possibility of, Comfort when there's no hope
no, Joy, only that intense sorrow of, What
will be will be, life's woe.
Misery resulting
from all kinds, Of afflictions seizing
Loves, Oh to hear the morning Songbirds
sing, Without soulful Mourning
Doves.
Our hearts are so
heavy in the, Twilight of life's
harrowing, Times, the excruciating pain
with, Daily freedoms
narrowing.
Be gracious unto
these whom we pray, For and love with our
heart, Empower them to feel Your Strength
and, Your Grace that You so
impart.
Grant them the
ability to stand, Such anguish when by Your
Grace, They overcome holding onto You, And
Glorify and Embrace.
May they know what a
wonderful Lord, You are when You shine new
light, In their eyes and newness of life
lifts, Weary hearts in our
sight.
Consider our loves
in all they're, Suffering honoring
them, With Your Favor and Compassion
as, Your Healings fill to the
brim.
Even as a grain of
sand in an, Oyster shell will turn into, A
Pearl by Your Grace, help our Loves, To fight
back, Glorify You.
May all the broken
melodies of, Each life blend in
harmony, And beauty of Your Brilliant
Glory, In Heaven Eternally.
Thank You Lord for
Your Mercy to me, And to those whose hearts
are now, Quietly bearing a living
grief, Bowing heads to pray and vow.
