A Journey
Begun
Selfishly we
cling to you, The tears start to fall, God
in His loving Grace, Begins your name to
call. Your journey has
begun, Across Jordan's river wide, Leaving
us behind today, Our hearts are torn
inside. Husband and Father
loved, Provider and teacher grand, You
strived to see to our needs, A strong and
wonderful man. The rock that we leaned
upon, The pilot of our family's helm, Kept
steady the ship as, Life's tide would
overwhelm. We prayed for comfort in
passing, Peace as you left our side, God
reached down and lifted you, With Him you'll
now reside. Good bye my loving
husband, Father and Grandfather too, You
are gone from our presence but, Your love and
memories linger true. Look down upon us in our
lives, Help us remember the things
taught, We will join you in the
Heavens, When our Earthly battles are
fought. We will always love
you, Your influence will always be, An
important part of us until, We celebrate at
Heaven's Jubilee. The Father will gather us
together, He will call one by one, Until
we are once again complete, Unbroken with
God's Son. Gayle Davisİ April
