Someday soon not far away,
There’ll come a brighter day,
When all the trials of this life,
Will surely pass away.

No more tears without control,
And there will be no pain,
No more strife to hurt your heart,
And no more guilt or blame.

No more sadness, no more heartaches,
No more questions, you’ll need to know,
No more begging for forgiveness,
No more scars to rip your soul.

There will be such harmony and peace,
Like you’ve never known before,
When you reach your final destiny,
On that bright eternal shore.

We will sit down at the Master’s feet,
And listen to angels sing,
We won’t remember the bad things,
Only the joy that heaven brings.

Just hang on a little longer friend,
Although your pain be hard to bear,
Jesus is coming back to take you,
To that home so bright and fair.

Up there will be no suffering,
Only sweet peace forevermore,
It is there you’ll find your destiny on,
God’s great eternal shore
