So many stories I have to tell
But no one is listening to me
Pull up a chair and relax
Open yours eyes so you can see.

I'll take you back in time my friend
Way back in history
To a time that's been forgotten
To a place where I lived carefree.

This place is quite different now
Than the way it use to be
I'm talking about my hometown
Which is bordered by the sea.

Life was simpler way back then
You obeyed your mother and father
Doors were opened to friends and neighbors
But now, no one seems to bother.

So bother with me a little today
You know I'm not feeling well
Come in, sit down, and chat awhile
So many stories I want to tell.

Soon my stories will cease to exist
For the Good Lord will call me home
I want someone to know of my life
At a time when I wasn't alone.
