Time to let go and move on.
Weep not for what is gone
But savor the days that were bright
And enjoy with calm delight.

The old year is coming to an end
And time to close the door
On sad times that have been
And cry no more.

Time to let go of losses and regret
And troubles that beset
So do not assess blame
But go on the future to claim.

Though hard times have come your way
And at times you felt dismay
Surely better times are ahead
So look to the future without dread.

What a difference the new year will make
If you guard the steps you take
Avoiding the path that went wrong
For a better life to come along.

The new year will be better by far
If you let go and go on
From where you are
Making a better life of your own.
