stages in life
Filled with anxiety and strife
Making you wonder how to cope
And often despair and lose hope.
Overwhelmed by insurmountable trials
You wonder at the lack of confidence you felt
Leaving you sad and bereft
Until you raised a desperate plea,
"Oh Lord, Please help me."
Times of suffering pain
Wondering if you would ever be well again
For the prognosis was dim
But you offered a plea to Him
For healing grace.
Times when you seemed to have no friend
Lonely and forlorn you never seemed to win
And your heart began to faint
Until feeling a comforting hand
Stretched out by a Godly saint.
Times when as a parent you seemed to fail
For wayward children made your soul quake
Wising never to forsake
But save them from a deadly fate.
Just as the seasons come and go
With a special purpose we know
God directs all according to His plan
No more for nature than man.
Take courage for this too shall pass.
