I try so hard to be strong,
And I try so hard to fight,
This struggle I must live with,
I try to hold on tight.

But the battle's getting harder,
With each new coming day,
The tears won’t stop flowing,
And the pain won’t go away.

I tried so hard to do my best,
In everything I do,
And to be a friend to everyone,
And be a blessing too.

My tears still keep flowing,
For release from this pain,
The only thing I can do,
Is call on Jesus’ name.

And pray that He will help,
Me accept what must be,
But keep my soul safe,
Throughout eternity.
