I trust not chance or circumstance
To guide my steps today
Sweet rhymes can lift the heart at times
But Now I Choose To Pray

O God I’m calling out to You
To Save and Help and Heal
I know You’re strong, Your word is true
Before Your Throne I kneel

I ask You first to cleanse my heart
And take away my sin
It’s only then the blessings start
And There’s A Peace Within

I know You have “The Best” in mind
For all who Trust in You
For when I seek I truly find
The Things You Say Are True

So God, I come before You now
And plead the Blood of Christ
In Thankfulness and Faith I bow
For Your Son’s Sacrifice

I don’t deserve a thing from You
I just would ask for Grace
Some Joy and Peace to see me through
And Courage In The Race

I may not ever understand
The way that life turns out
But I will follow Your command
I Will Not Go With Doubt

So often in these troubled days
I’m not sure what to do
But I Can Serve And Love And Praise
And Seek To Mirror You

Your Word Will Be My Sword And Shield
Your arms, my resting place
My wounded heart to You I yield
I Welcome Your Embrace
