Wisdom prefers what is sure and secure
What’s been tested and tried in the fire
But the Youth of today have their own special
way
To show passion and drive and desire
Youth will declare, there’s a party out there
Don’t you trust me, they say with a grin
Then old Wisdom cries out, there’s a danger
about
If your caution is thrown to the wind
Wisdom has always presented the case
That without it, you’ll get in a jam
But Youth aren’t afraid to fall on their face
While they’re playing the fool or the ham
The Wisdom of Age is a wonderful thing
And so is the Passion of Youth
One points to the sadness that folly can bring
While the other is wrestling with truth
Age says, we have always done it this way
While the Youth are calling for change
Age can get stuck in a rut any day
While the Youth have vision and range
Both Wisdom and Passion contribute to Life
But balance each day is the key
What good is your butter without any knife
Or your teacup without any tea
The Young and The Old - The Calm and The Bold
Are important with something to share
Each one must rely on their piece of the pie
As they work as a team and a pair
So listen to older and younger alike
Learn all that you can from them both
May your journey on Earth be a glorious hike
With Passion And Wisdom And Growth !!!
