Once, long ago, I glimpsed a light,
And of its source I wasn't sure,
I knew in my heart, as I gazed at the glow,
That its purpose was Divine and Pure.

As I drew closer I felt a warmth inside that
wasn't there before,
My spirit was aware of a Holiness that lay
beyond that door.

I knocked and a voice called,
"Enter my child, I have been waiting to set you free",
As I walked through those portals I saw my Lord,
His Hands were outstretched toward me.

His Embrace was so sweet,
And His Presence complete,
I knew this is where I would stay,
My Jesus, my Master, my King, my Redeemer,
At last I have been brought Your way.
