seven of life's wide dimensions
That God is calling us to know,
And if we face them all alone
May surely overwhelm our soul.
For the daily needs we bear are many
But, as the Lord provides the rest,
In peaceful pastures, soft and green
We'll find streams of quietness.
And all the guidance we require,
In the protection of His rod and staff,
As righteousness, for His name's sake
Becomes our beating heart.
And though, we know our soul has failed
Our life for Him, He chose,
When anointed with His oil of joy,
Our soul with love o'erflows.
Even when the enemies surround
With evil, prowling to attack,
God prepares for us a table feast
While the rivals, He combats.
Yes, in every struggle of the day
His mercy, goodness meets our need,
When The Lord, our Shepherd is
And we follow where He leads.
Then as we see the valley looming
With the shadow of our death,
The love of God will lift us high,
We need not fear nor fret.
For there, sweeps in the prospect
Of heaven's glorious day,
When the Lord, our Shepherd bears us
Forever home with Him to stay.

Poetry from the Heart
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
