Though
there are sad times that come
When you feel down and out
There are also bright times which come
That make you want to shout.
Why dwell on the sorrow and pain
Which only brings you down
But think of the bright times that will come again
And put on a smile in place of the frown.
Even though you are alone
No need to be lonely
For there are people who love you
And many upbeat things to do.
Time in solitude need not be sad
For you have time to reflect
And commune with the God of the universe
Finding peace to connect
As you draw from love you know is there
And reach out to others this love to share.
Into everyone's life comes rain
Filled with sorrow and pain
But that will soon pass away
Bringing a brighter day.
Embrace the bright moments that come
When laughter rules the day
Exult in the golden sun
And joy that comes into play
With happiness
Overflowing your cup
As God lifts you up.
