It's early in the morning
With a cup of coffee in my hand,
I head out back to the sailboat
That's awaiting my command.

As I untie the boat from the post
Excitement rushes over me,
For across the water, in the distance
The morning glow of sunrise I see.

The day, "wow" just perfect
I can't wait to get out there.
And feel the sun upon my face
And breathe in the calming air.

The water is sparkling like diamonds
Shimmering, glittering, and prance,
Oh this lake is so beautiful
Performing it's morning dance.

It's going to be a great day
Already I can tell,
I will be out there sailing
Until I hear the evening bell.

I can feel the ripple of the water
As the boat smoothly sails along,
Above puffy white clouds take many shapes
All too soon the day will be gone,

Then I will head for home
The day a beautiful memory,
But I will never forget
The pleasure the lake gave to me.
