There's nothing like
the rhythm of the rain,
To put one fast asleep.
The pitter patter on the window seal,
Is soothing beyond belief.
To snuggle up in bed with a good book,
Relaxed from head to toe.
Is something everyone should do,
Advice from one who knows.
A good night's rest will make tomorrow,
A much more perfect day,
You then can manage any problem,
That life might send your way.
Today is the first day of Autumn,
And the temperature is cooling just a bit,
I can't wait for Winter,
To get the fireplace lit.
The glowing of the red hot coals,
And the smell of apple cider,
Makes everyone relax a little,
And become a little brighter.
But soon we'll let the dog out,
So he can stretch a while,
And end our day at last,
With hugs and happy smiles.
Tomorrow will be another day,
For things we didn't do,
So forget them for a while,
They will still be there for you.
Take time for family and fun,
You'll enjoy life so much more,
Take time to say I love you,
Before running out the door.
On cool and rainy days,
I can get so much done,
Then take a little time for me,
To have a little fun.
I love to write my e-mail friends,
And keep in touch with all,
They are like family to me,
They're there should I ever call.
