Rejoice in
the midst of sorrow,
for God has sent this test,
to mold and mend and make you
one of His very best!
Though suffering may be severe,
and bitter days be long,
please ne'er forget you're in His heart
your name is His sweet song.
It's easy for all others
whose lives are filled with peace,
to chirp sweet syrupy platitudes
in the midst of your trials and grief.
But please remember, precious one
God hears your crying voice.
He's at the center of all your pains,
so please my friend, rejoice!
