I wanted to give you a surprise
So I painted you a sunrise
To bring good cheer your way
Each and every day.

I colored a bright yellow sun
To lift your heart to new height
As you catch the first sight
Of incredible color lighting up the sky

I added brush strokes of orange
Giving a warm glow
To your heart and the Earth below.
May the warmth spread to your heart
And bring happiness at the start
Of each new day.

A little red I put at the core
To suggest a fire to burn
Into your soul all for which you yearn
To make you happy
As much more for you I have in store.

There it is, a golden, burning sun on the rise
Bringing incredible beauty to your eyes
As you see a new day open to view.
The artist who painted the sun for you
