We
always try to take time out,
To spend some time in the mountains,
Where we can go and enjoy the woods
And the overflowing fountains.
The cabin is so peaceful,
No phones to ring and no strange faces.
No traffic blowing horns,
Just enjoying the wide open spaces.
Just below the cabin is a rippling stream,
The water clear and cold.
A place where you can rest in quiet,
A place that never grows old.
We've been going there for years,
And always feel so blessed ,
To have a place we call our own,
Where we can stroll through paths and rest.
The sight is Oh so beautiful,
Looking over the wooded land,
From the balcony way up high,
You can see the river
And a bank of snow white sand.
In the Winter it's snug among the trees,
The landscape all covered in ice and snow,
The smell of the wood in the fireplace,
And no place we have to go.
Sipping cocoa with marsh mellows,
Floating on the top.
The smell of buttered popcorn,
That's Just now being popped.
Now that's a real vacation,
To come back home feeling rested.
Instead of traveling far and wide,
With all that time just wasted.
