Memories sweet
memories, Gathered close at hand, Loving
moments I see, Brought from sea to land.
We walked the
shores, Holding hands, our arms
wrapped, About each other
tightly, Thoughts of the future
enraptured.
You picked a Lotus for
me, Slipping it behind my ear, Water
dripping down my face, You spoke words of
love so dear.
Happiness constantly
filled my world, With you there is nothing
but glee, Spontaneous actions and
laughter, Bound by love chains yet ever
free.
Sitting next to the
water's edge, A fan made from a large
frond, Hiding beneath the leafy green, A
stolen kiss to which I respond.
A chorus of song by
nature's creatures, Frogs large and small
eagerly sing, Stars begin to sparkle in the
distance, A blanket of love the night
brings.
Before me I stare at the
memories, Candles of Lotus beautiful and
green, Pewter frogs sitting silently as
tho', Waiting for a romantic night's
scene.
I count the hours until I
see you again, Gingerly I stroke the memory's
array, Impatiently waiting for the
evening, Imagination rampant refuses to
allay.
The closeness of you
brings comfort, The years have been gentle
and kind, Love only grows deeper and
brighter, When two hearts are forever
entwined.
