Our future, our life is not clear.
We can only dream and plan,
For things always happen
That we don't understand.
If we were told the things in life
What's ahead and going to be,
We would despair or try to change
The things we don't want to see.
We would set another goal
Re-chart and make quite a fuss,
God chose life to be a mystery
He knew what was good for us.
We can set out on a path
And know where we want to head,
But be prepared for detours
And take another direction instead.
If we knew where our life was going
No excitement or challenge there would be,
Our future is hidden so we won't know
That's why life is a mystery.
