Master I am in the depths of,
The deepest, darkest despair,
There is no one I can turn to,
I'm left without anyone to care.

Misguided without You to lead me,
Seeking solace in ungodly treasures,
Forgetting You as I journeyed along,
Intent on enjoying worldly pleasures.

My future has dimmed all around me,
The importance of things have faded away,
Are You within reaching distance God,
Have I lost all hope for You by my delay?

The Bible use to be a daily reading,
I would pray and praise Your name,
I turned by back upon You Sweet Jesus,
There is no one but me to blame.

I am drowning in my own tears,
Regret and shame overcome me,
Can You still love me my Savior,
Will You love me now for eternity?

Please forgive me Beloved Father,
Erase each sin from my heart,
Return to live within me I plea,
I'll never from You again depart.

I am sorry I strayed from You,
To the world Your love I'll proclaim,
I wish to return to the fold Lord,
Accept me as a child of Yours again.
