In the Holy Bible I read,
Where the psalmist David said,
"I've never seen the righteous forsaken,"
"Or his seed begging bread!"
Friend, I've found this to be the truth,
For I've observed from my youth,
Until the present time,
That since God made us His own,
We've never been left alone,
As we struggle life's mountains to climb!
Even though we're growin' old and gray,
God provides for us each day,
From Heaven's bountiful store!
Our steps are getting slow,
But, we surely know,
God loves us the same as before!
Soon, Heaven's gates will swing open wide,
And we shall step inside,
We who have been Blood-bought!
There will be nor more pain!
With Christ we shall reign!
Oh, what a comforting thought!
