I
was watching a little boy,
Sitting on a little platform high up in a tree,
Just enjoying a big red apple,
Just content as he could be.
I thought how nice life would be,
Away from worldly cares...
If I had a platform high up in a tree.
Feeling happy just sitting there.
But life is as we make it,
We choose our way in life.
And we do have troubles and cares,
But we must learn to deal with strife.
We wouldn't have so much concern,
If we'd learn where to turn.
If we'd watch children as they play,
There's a lot that we could learn.
We worry about so many things,
Things that really are so small,
Why not try to save that time,
And just not worry much at all.
There are things we are concerned about,
Our health and families too.
But most of what we worry about,
Never does come true.
So try to think more like a kid,
Sitting on a platform in a tree,
It's more fun eating apples,
And feeling content and free.
