A family came from a distant
town,
Unable to find a place to stay,
With animals’ breath to keep them warm
And straw to lie upon.
A manger was needed and
Hay would do the rest,
For the Mother was with Child,
This night would bring an event to be blessed.
A homeless Babe would be sought,
The wise were led by a bright star,
To the Prince of Peace,
Many gifts were brought.
