Birthdays are so much fun,
With cake, hats and ice cream,
And presents in colored paper,
It’s like living in a dream.

Of course we do get older,
And many things come new,
But most things that will change,
Are things that are good for you.

Pretty clothes and fancy shoes,
And your first pair of grownup heels,
But some day soon you'll see,
You’ll be paying all the bills.

But Today is your birthday ,
So don't you worry about those things,
We'll face each day,
With whatever life may bring.

It’s all a happy experience,
Living in a grownup world,
No longer in pony tails and bobby socks,
No longer just a girl.
