A Mama's heart can be so fretful
With worry of the past,
What could have, should have been
While years are spinning passed.
A Mama's heart can be so fearful
With angst about tomorrow,
That this day's dose of tender loving
Clouds over with more sorrow.
A Mama's soul can be so burdened
With every weary care today,
That all the precious little joys are lost
And all she wished to say.
A Mama's soul can become so tied up
In all there is to do,
That the children will be all grown up
While work she did pursue.
A Mama's spirit needs the gentle rest
Of sitting with the Lord,
To feel His love and tenderness
From time spent in His word.
A Mama's spirit needs a sweet reviving
And that's what our God can do,
Fill her with Himself each day
Her spirit to renew.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in the
busyness,
the routine, the getting it right...
we forget to reflect on, a child simply needs,
a Mother overflowing with God's love,
not just fulfilling the role of a parent...
developing them in all their gifts,
but being free to be yourself.
Relax and be joyful as you are, content in
eternal love..
and He will flow through you,
to be the friend and Mother your child needs..
