I sit and watch as the
stream rolls by
Carrying sticks and leaves; increasing in size
An audible sound it doth make
A journey this stream has to take.

A course that winds through the countryside
Carving its way; becoming so wide
Merging with a river as it journeys on
As more little streams it doth spawn.

Soon it becomes a raging river
Making the people shake and quiver
So much rain in a short period of time
Caused these streams to combine.

The Earth was arid; parched by the sun
Global warming had begun
And now this river has left its mark
A journey it was forced to embark.
