Today my heart's so heavy,
I can hardly bear the pain,
So much is happening in my world,
Will It ever be the same?
It seems the world has fallen all apart,
But burdens can be lifted,
By only turning back to God
As sand that's being sifted.
It's hard sometime to see ahead,
For we are but mere beings,
Yet we know that someone loves us,
And all is for a reason.
All I have to do is watch the News,
And know I'm greatly blessed,
Although I sometime feel alone,
And feeling so distressed.
Lord What has happened to our world,
Is everyone going blind,
For can't we see we've turned our back,
On all that's good and fine.
Morals are just ignored and lost,
And people just don't seem to care,
They walk the streets and go to Church,
And sometimes half way bare.
What will it take to make us see,
We're running short on time,
For You will not put off Your judgement,
On a land that's full of crime.
There are characters that kidnap,
And murderers of our young.
And drugs and drinking in the streets,
While vulgarity is being sung.
Television shows are full of cursing,
Your Name is used in vain,
Has people forgotten all You did for them,
That they will bring You shame?
What must You show the world,
Before they understand,
Though be You a patient God,
You'll deal with ungrateful lands.
