Mountains

Flowers
To rejoice in the knowledge that
God created all of this for you and me
The mountains in Spring when
Everything becomes like new
Coumbines
Leaves are formed and showing
Different shades of green on every tree
A symphony of colorful wild flowers is
Adding its beauty too
Coumbines
The rising sun is just peaking above
The snow covered mountain peaks
Searching out all of
The darken shadows in the valley below
Coumbines
A soft breeze is meandering through
The trees as the next valley it seeks
The sun searching and reaching
Pockets of last Winter's snow
Coumbines
Meandering mountain creeks
Coming down from where the eagles fly
Rushing, ever rushing to meet
The waters of the lake below
Coumbines
The crystal clear alpine lake is reflecting
The beautiful bright blue sky
And the puffy white clouds that are
Dancing ever so slow
Coumbines
A silhouette of the snow covered mountains is
A contrast to the blue sky
A beautiful song of the meadowlark
Answering its mates call
Coumbines
The golden eagle is soaring and watching
All below with its watchful eye
The thundering noise of a rock slide as
Tons of rocks begin to fall
Coumbines
Shattering the quietness of nature as
Rocks and dust came tumbling down
Nature is rebuilding itself into
Something different, something new
Coumbines
A family of chipmunks are chasing one another
And just fooling around
Spring is the time of renewal, but
God is really never through
Coumbines
