Looking out my window I see
Marvelous beauty before me.
Each season is different, you see
For God's palette changes the hue
To color a different canvas for me and you.

In spring the azalea blossoms in profusion
Of red, pink, lavender and white
Work together in collusion
With the dogwood and daffodil
To paint a collage bright
Awakening in my heart a special thrill.

Summer comes and the lawn is emerald green
Creating a luscious background
For the flowers sweet with perfume.
Butterflies in colorful gowns
Of yellow, orange, red and brown
Hover a moment while fluttering by
To sip nectar from the heart of the flower
Causing joy and peace to enter my soul
And I breathe a contented sigh.

As the nights turn cool and a nip is in the air
Green leaves turn to colors bright
And seemingly over night
Turn to gold and brown
Before falling to the ground.
I glance through the window and find
A magnificent panoramic view is mine.

Then, God seems to say
Time for a change of the view
I have in mind for you.
So, a soft blanket of white
Falls through the night
Covering everything in sight.
Through the window I view a wonderland
Of pristine white, oh so grand.
