When I'm alone I sometimes feel blue,
And yet when I'm alone,
I feel free of other things,
With more time to think of you.

I watch the ocean for a sign,
Of a boat to come in view,
Knowing when it does,
I'll soon be back with you.

Time seems to stand still,
When you're away,
Yet knowing you'll be home,
I'll watch for you another day.

I'll plan a sweet homecoming,
And we'll celebrate our life,
And wait until the time is right,
And I become your wife.

The ocean is somewhat of a comfort,
Watching the foamy sea,
And feeling the salt water on my face,
Knowing your coming home to me.

All days are long and lonely,
But nights are such a bore,
The sunset and the clouds above,
Reminds me of you more.

I'll wait as long as it takes,
To see that boat in sight,
And then the days will not seem long,
And neither will the nights.

For then we'll be together,
And until that day my dear,
We shall walk together,
Forever staying near.
