Vietnam war has no reason
Why we left our families season after season
As soldiers we are trained to be
Symbols and fighters of the land of the free

We take our memories and leave our home
Sent to the jungle sent to roam
We ask our mothers not to cry
We do not know it's our last goodbye

Off to a foreign land
Off to fight a foreign man
For what reason we are not told
But all this fighting is making us old

While in this land we are lost
All though we fought hard
Some soldiers are lost

Well trained they did their best
But they returned home to be laid to rest
Side by side they stood tall
And all gave some, but some gave all
