Remember the old "T" Model,
No heater to keep you warm,
No windows to roll up and down,
Snap on curtains to adorn.
divider
Cranking the old "T" Model
Was a mighty hard job,
You had to pull out the choke
For gas an inside job.
divider
Then you got out in the front
Of the old "T" Model,
With the steel crank in your hand,
Try to crank then check the throttle.
divider
You might turn the crank many times,
Maybe wear yourself out
Before the "T" Model would finally
Crank, then you could shout.
divider
You jumped into the "T" Model
and began adjusting
The controls to keep it cranked.
Starting over was disgusting.
divider
Finally when you got it all right,
Everyone would jump inside
And make a trip to see Grandma,
Which was a big joyride.
divider
There were a few really long hills,
Up and down was a thrill,
We would go down one hill fast
To make it up the next hill.
divider
Controls were on the steering wheel,
Changing gears many times
Just to creep up the hills,
Seemed like a lifetime.
divider
It was such an exciting trip
Just to go see Grandma,
Riding in the old "T" Model
Up and down the hills in awe.
