Only time will tell if love lingers,
In an intense yet gentle way,
Thoughts of you flow around me,
Joy and happiness they bring each day.
The sight of you thrills me,
A sweet smile lifts me ever higher,
Love notes play upon my heart,
Each instill a deep yearning desire.
The look in your eyes invites,
A return of love so sweet,
Always it seems you’ve loved me,
You make my life complete.
The touch of your hand in mine,
As we walk along the shore at night,
A moment in time captured,
As we gently kiss in the moonlight.
Silence is golden between us,
Words need not be spoken,
Hearts beating in unison,
Love's depth is no mere token.
Your presence beside me I cherish,
Togetherness forever is my plea,
My world relies upon your devotion,
I'd have no existence without thee.
Beneath the star studded sky,
I stop to look close into your eyes,
Seeking a promise of eternal love,
To know the future my heart cries.
You hold me in a strong embrace,
Your words casting a spell,
Vowing to always love me; yet,
Only time will tell.
