A lovelier young lady
could not be found
Her life was complex
and Oh, so profound
Other women were jealous
of her outer beauty
They refused to see
the beauty inside
Angelina was her name
and an *Angel* she was
Her giving was anonymous
and done, just because
She could not have children
and she had no siblings
This was a great loss
But she saw it as a blessing
She highly educated herself
learned all she could
Then opened an orphanage
This, no one understood
She preferred to give back
all that God had given her
Some said she should model
But children she preferred
She devoted her life to them
Lots of money was spent
No regrets were ever heard
This is the way her life went
She is an old maid now
Some say it's so sad
she wasted her life on children
when she could've had a man
She smiles and says
God gave me a perfect life
I wanted many children
I never wanted to be a wife
Thank You, my Heavenly Father
for a life of true blessings
You listened to my prayers
and fulfilled my deepest longings..
