The
moon slowly drops,
It’s dust to the ground,
Quietly it cascades,
A serene cloak surrounds.
Alone amidst nature I stand,
Peace my soul seeks,
Awed by the tranquil beauty,
My heart gently weeps.
Trees like umbrellas,
Tower above reaching the sky,
A pair of white geese,
Wings flapping slowly as they fly.
The waters still, void of waves,
A small ripple breaks the surface,
The moon dust seems to blanket,
Holding the world in its embrace.
Tranquility I have sought and found,
Stilled beneath the beautiful twilight,
My heart rejoices in the attraction,
God's creation, a rhapsodic sight.
I see the handiwork of God,
Reaching from the sky to the ground,
Bathed in a beauteous splendor,
Paradise of nature thus profound.
O God, I thank You for this moment,
A minute sample of all You have made,
One day Heavenly wonders I'll see,
Greeted by the Angels' sweet serenade.
Until I join You Blessed Father,
Upon that great Celestial Shore,
I will bask in this Earthly beauty,
Thankful and loving You evermore.
