am feeling sad and blue

So I come close to You
Setting aside all sorrow and discord.
When life seems to pass me by
And I can do nothing but cry

So in You I abide.
When I feel defeated
By trials that hold me down

So I feel able to carry on
With the love You have shown
When I stumble and fall
Lord, upon Your name I call
To lift me up from my fallen state
So I feel Your loving arms around me
And I seal my fate
To be strong as I carry on
With a joyous song.
When I am tempted to sin
Going back to the pit I once was in
Lord, forgive me when I cry
And lift me up so once again
I enjoy fellowship, beautiful and sweet,
As I bow humbly at Your nail Scared feet.
Lift me up, Lord
So I receive Your Saving Grace
And I shall praise Your Name
And Your precious Son who came
To die in my place
So I can become Your child
Perfect in every way
Because my sins were taken away.
Lord, now I look to You
And set my face
To run with swiftness the race
You set before me
So when the race is won
You will lift me up in Your arms
And carry me to Heaven,
My home for eternity.
