Since Jesus saved my soul,
Cleansed and made me whole,
His presence I adore!
And with each passing day I find,
The love and peace of mind,
That my heart had often longed for!

I was on life’s troubled sea,
When He rescued me.
I was feeling so alone.
But, then He became a Friend,
On Whom I can depend!
He claimed me for His own!

Ah, it was a glorious day,
When Jesus washed my sins away!
Friend, it was just in time!
Now in my heart He lives,
And daily strength He gives,
For life’s mountains I must climb!

He has prepared a place for me!
It’s beauty I shall see,
When I step off on Heaven’s shore!
But, above all things,
I long to see the King of Kings!
How could I ask for more?
