I
searched for You in a beautiful smile
And the innocent eyes of a child.
I found You there.
I searched for You in the sunrise
And golden butterflies
To find You there.
I searched for You in the bird's song
As well as the home where I belong.
I found You there.
I searched for You in the gentle breeze
And the splendor of giant trees.
You were there.
I searched for You in the golden grain
Even the lovely sound of refreshing rain
And You were found.
I searched for You in a mother's embrace
As she touched her baby's face
And found You there.
I searched for You in golden moonlight
And the twinkling stars so bright
I saw You were there.
I searched for You in the skies so blue
And the sparkling morning dew
Knowing I would find You there.
I searched for You in sparkling jewels rare
As well as haunting melody of violin strings
And found You there.
Holy God, it is good to know
That if I search for You and look around
In all things You can be found.
