I’m
reminded every day,
That I’m not here to stay.
I’m only a pilgrim passing through.
Like friends and loved ones gone on before,
I’m heading for Heaven’s shore,
In that beautiful land beyond the blue!
As up life’s mountain I climb,
I often have a difficult time.
Sometimes I almost stumble and fall.
However, when the path grows dim,
Jesus lets me lean on Him,
And I’m able to make it after all!
Yes, I know each step I make,
And ultimately each breath I take,
Is because of God’s wonderful grace!
And when I bid this world goodbye,
There’s not doubt that I,
Will see my Saviour face to face!
Although my strength is almost gone,
I must travel on,
With my eyes on my eternal goal.
For at my journey’s end,
Jesus, my precious Friend,
Will receive my joyful soul!
