On
Calvary, the ring of the hammer driving nails,
Mixed with Jesus’ followers heart wrenching
wails,
As They cried for the most caring Man they ever
knew.
For even as He hung on the Cross bleeding and
dying,
Those present heard Him crying,
“Father, forgive them for they know not what
they do.”
Oh, what manner of love did God bestow,
When He sent Jesus here below,
To take upon Himself the sins of all mankind.
No other love can ever compare,
With what was seen there.
No greater compassion could we ever find!
“Twas God’s love in action indeed,
When Jesus ransomed Adam’s seed,
Bridging the chasm between God and man!
Thereafter, when we call upon His name,
Our lives are never the same,
For nothing can change a heart like salvation
can!
