We could run and play for hours
In the stillness of the night
On our old homestead
Without fear or fright

There were trees to climb
Puppy dogs to pet and chase
A hay loft to romp in
We could hide most any place
stillnessdivider.jpg (7639 bytes)
There was nary a dull moment
Always something fun to do
Even just lying on a blanket
Listening to the doves coo

We could play out after dark
And never have any fear
For Mother always told us
God was always so near
stillnessdivider.jpg (7639 bytes)
She taught us to see Him
In everything we did or could see
She said He created everything
And gave His life to set us free
