I have a joyful heart, As I greet the morn, I know the day is special, Just as when Christ was born. Easter is a blessing true, The only Son given by God, To take my sins upon the Cross, And His Blood soaked the sod. Many watched as Jesus died, Hanging between two thieves, Mocked and spit upon, So few in Jesus believed. Years before my birth, Jesus prepared for me He loved me enough to die, Upon a Cross at Calvary. I have received many Blessings, Since I entered the Fold, And each day new ones arrive, Filling my very soul. You can call them Easter Blessings, For it was upon this day, Christ defied the bonds of death, To Ascend Heaven's way. Easter Blessings washed me pure, Giving eternal life with my King, Through these Blessing I proclaim, Gladly His Praises forever I'll sing.
