Of billowing clouds
A shimmering sea
Passive daisies
Swaying in the breeze
A lonely person
On a doorstep
Looking haggard
Like he hadn't slept
An old granny
On a porch swing
Praying for company
That only You can bring
A line of people
At the city mission
Waiting for a meal
Things hard to envision
Hungry children on TV
Stomach's distended
From malnutrition
Will there never be an end?
Peaceful angels singing
Praises to our Lord
So beautifully adorned
Singing in one accord
Birds chirping in a tree
Hungry babies, mouths open
A fat wiggly worm would be nice
Oh Lord, we're hopin'
Spiders spinning a web
Such an intricate design
For everyone to enjoy
Now it's waiting to dine
A grandma making cookies
Grandchildren by her side
Pats on heads with floured hands
To show her joy and pride
A grandpa putting up
A big tire swing
Telling young ones stories
Knowing the happiness it brings
A parent with a child
On their lap
Reading stories and learning
Geography from a map
Children cooling off
In a galvanized tub
Mom watching from window
While preparing some grub
Children running through
Oat and wheat fields
Big smiles on their faces
So much fun with so little
Mama's pushing buggies
In the city park
Showing off their babies
While near-by dogs bark
Ladies from the Old West
In their billowing skirts
Cowboys on their horses
Wearing their plaid shirts
Grandpa took me fishing
Down at the river dam
As soon as the line was out
There'd be another one, *wham*
I'm getting drowsy now
So I must hurry home
My prayers are all said
And it's past time for bed
I thank You, Lord
For all Your blessings and
Ask for Your perfect guidance
To change some things
Thank You, Lord, for the ability
To envision things as they are
You are my best friend
That I love from afar
