We've had a lot of memories together,
No one can ever take away.
You know one day I'll have to leave,
Although, I know you'd like me to stay.

Promise me you will be strong,
Because God will be there in my place.
Even though you may feel all alone,
With God there's nothing you can't face.

Please, just remember all the good times.
Promise me you won't stay sad.
Don't be angry with or blame God.
Thank God for the time we had.

Read the Bible and make God your focus.
He will be your shining light.
When nothing else can comfort you,
God will make everything all right.

Death is not an ending,
Instead, it's a brand new start.
One day we'll be reunited,
Then we'll never be apart.

Because I am "Born Again,"
In Heaven, I will wait,
Until the day God calls you home.
I'll meet you at Heaven's Gate.

It will be one big reunion,
Like one big party in the sky.
We'll spend eternity in Heaven,
So don't be sad when I die.

So, promise me, just one more time,
You won't grieve longer or stay sad,
Just take comfort in God's love,
And in your heart be glad.
