O Lord how long must I be hiding,
Daily anguish in my heart?
How long will You look the other way,
Till darkness tears me apart?

Restore Your sparkle in my eyes Lord,
Enlighten me or I'll die,
Consider me in my great despair,
Lest the death of me comes nigh.

Will You forget me Lord forever,
In all my pain and distress?
Are my enemies to conquer me,
Without You to light darkness?

You tell me You'll never forsake me,
Nor ever leave me alone,
My Jesus I love You my heart cries,
For You O Lord You're my own.

Am I not hard pressed on every side?
Am I not crushed and perplexed?
How long will You look the other way,
Until my spirit is vexed?

Free me from this sadness that troubles,
I will always trust in You,
My God You have power over all,
Forever Your Love comes through.

O Lord how can I hide suffering,
When I know this pit's the worst?
Am I low as the enemy boasts,
Must I be in this place cursed?

O I will pray to You Lord mercy,
In Your salvation rejoice,
I will sing Your Praises I am blessed,
As death trembles at Your Voice.
