In a dark and stormy night,
Jesus is my guiding light!
He whispers, “Everything’s alright!”
“Just lean on Me.”
“For whether skies are blue or gray,”
“I’ll be with you all the way.”
Oh, how I love to hear Him say,
“Just lean on me!”

“Just lean on Me,”
“When the whole world turns against you.”
“You can lean on Me,”
“When your friends all walk away.”
“You are mine.”
“You’re not your own!”
“So, you don’t have to walk alone!”
“Until we come before God’s throne,”
“Child, lean on me!”

When I’m on the mountain high,
It seems I can almost touch the sky!
Then, my Lord draws nigh,
So I can lean on Him!
And even in the valley low,
When I don’t know which way to go,
This one thing I surely know,
I can lean on Him!
