What is it like in Heaven?
No one knows for sure.
Except that it's a perfect place,
Where all hearts are good and pure.
They say the streets are made of gold
With lovely walls of jasper.
But that isn't what draws me there,
That isn't what I'm after.
They tell of all the lovely singing
Of lilting, beautiful songs.
Angels' voices perfectly blending,
Singing of right, not of wrong.
But that isn't why I dream of it.
That isn't why I dream.
The songs are only part of it,
There's more there, I deem.
In Heaven dwells our loving Savior.
He all our burdens bear.
And He's why I look toward Heaven.
He's why I want to go there!
That day will be a new beginning
When to Heaven I go.
Greeting all my friends and loved ones.
And seeing Jesus whom I love so.
What is it like in Heaven?
I will know some day.
And the path won't be so hard to follow.
If I look to Jesus, and pray.
