I came
into this world with a cry I am told.
Perhaps- leaving the womb so warm,
And being yanked out into the world so cold.
After all that is what they call the norm.
The years have been difficult but kind.
I truly worried about becoming blind.
However, God saw that was not the case,
True, I had other hurdles to face.
He always gave me the strength,
To face any adversity at length.
He has been my compass and companion.
On this trip called life with its valleys and
canyons.
Seems I have always known my Lord and Savior.
I feel that perhaps, somehow I won His favor.
For He gave me the wonderful gift of words.
Be they spoken, written or heard.
Wonderful, fabulous, beautiful words.
Used to express the dawn of a new morn.
And the hush of a weary twilight.
Singling out the day we are born
Until we bid our final goodnight,
