In my youth I dreamed
Dreams of wonderful things to come
And magnificent achievements
Possible to see
Waiting just for me.

Dreams of precious love
Of a wonderful man
Who would take my hand
And always be with me
Sharing joys and sorrows
Of the present and all my tomorrows.

Dreams of a wonderful family
Sharing love as a mother
Guiding my children in building a life
Full of love and happiness
Contented as others they bless.

Dreams of a life lived well
While on earth I dwell
Filled with peace and contentment
Knowing I did the work for which I was sent
Using God given talent and skill
According to God's will.

Life for me has been filled
With much more than I had dreamed
Blessed in full measure
With love, a precious treasure,
Given freely to me.

At times trials brought me low
Making me humble to know
I cannot make it alone
But must rely upon my Lord to lift me up
So upon my knees I fall
And on His precious Name I call.

As I look back over the years
I see my life was filled with more joys than tears.
The memories wash over me of time
In the past
And I recall faded memories of mine
Which will forever last.
