Dawn appears real quietly
A mist rolls over the lake
forest creatures open eyes
in a new day they'll partake

Birds and bees and butterflies
stretch their wings to fly
They look for bathing water
Then search for the sun to dry

The woods are full of beauty
wild flowers, bushes and trees
silhouettes and lengthy shadows
Scenes that tend to please

God knew what He was doing
when He created the forest glade
in fact He used perfection
in everything He made

Don't take a thing for granted
accept what you hear and see
God made this world a heaven on earth
Especially for you and me
